The Challengescale

The primary obstacle to the adoption of small wind is the time to return the high capital cost investment for the buyer. In other words, the cost per unit energy is just too high.  The typical payback of 8-12 years dissuades many individuals. It is critical to reduce this by focusing on reducing the primary metric: $/kWh.

The Solution

Our wind turbine is designed to provide a solution to this problem by producing more than twice the energy of an open bladed traditional wind turbine of the same diameter. Our first milestone was accomplished  demonstrated by our recent experimental data.  And this translates into a lower cost per kW hour cost to the customer with a reduced payback period of over half the time.
